What's with Merc's Website?

It's been down for months...

www.mercurymarine.com

Bam Bam 06-04-2003 09:04 AM

It has worked for me. I must say that for all the money they make, they could invest in a better web site though.

Zyzzyx2123 06-04-2003 09:43 AM

CigDaze 06-04-2003 09:46 AM

Works fine...are you getting a DNS error?

CigDaze 06-04-2003 10:07 AM

I'm not sure exactly what they have here at work, but I think it's a proxy server through a T3 line...

...Wish I knew what's wrong. Everything else works fine: OSO, porn, just about everything I can think of.

Thanks guys...at least I know now it's my end not working.

I guess so:

Please try the following:

Click the Refresh button, or try again later.

If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.

To check your connection settings, click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Connections tab, click Settings. The settings should match those provided by your local area network (LAN) administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).
If your Network Administrator has enabled it, Microsoft Windows can examine your network and automatically discover network connection settings.
If you would like Windows to try and discover them,
click Detect Network Settings
Some sites require 128-bit connection security. Click the Help menu and then click About Internet Explorer to determine what strength security you have installed.
If you are trying to reach a secure site, make sure your Security settings can support it. Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section and check settings for SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0, PCT 1.0.
Click the Back button to try another link.

He workgin on it. He told me he's an engineer not a visual guy. If i ever get my baot finished and all my other projects outof teh way. I will be submitting som eideas to him how to spruce it up visually.

but back to the main point. His site appears to be up.

CigDaze 06-04-2003 12:46 PM

Baja,
Add 64.147.205.66 to your DNS settings. It should work then. Know how to do that?
