Default Installing a 1" spacer on my bravos

Will this help my planing or my top speed?

You need to speak to Tres @ Martin Offshore. My understanding is that Cig is pretty close on their factory setups, but Tres has been able to extract more Mph's with blueprinting the hull, prop labbing, and slight drive height adjustments. I am not affiliated with him I just have always gotten answers to question and loads of help. www.tmoffshore.com

Your planing time will be reduced, due to more prop in the water, you are lowering your drives, but your top end will probably be 2-3 mph less cause when trimmed up for top speed the blades are 1" lower from the water surface. Your handling might improve also, all this worked for Radio Active and for my typical boating planing up quicker is better, less stress on drives, and for the top end mph loss it was well worth it. Good luck and I do have 1" spacers for sale, I put 1 1/2" on mine, thanks Jeff 228-216-0900

Default I bought a 1/2" spacer for my drive

I have the Imco SC drive, I am understanding that a spacer for a stock Bravo will not quite match my SC. What will be the difference? I think the tail end of it will be the problem. I haven't seen the spacer and drive together since my boat is in storage several miles away.
If it doesn't fit is anybody interested in buying it?

d-hlaw,

I got the spacer kit from Tres. He also sent me up some Rolla props.

Tried the Props out today & the planing was much better.

Probably will have the Spacers installed after the NYC run.
