Troutly,

We are actually spraying the boat this week and we will be posting pictures on the AT website, as well as here on OSO. This 33 is going to be one running SOB, and we are really excited about this project.

John's 28 looks and rides incredible.

Thunder32 06-11-2003 12:14 PM

Hey Dan-
If you and Pat are so excited about this project, how about throwing in a pair of 525's for free for me :D

Very cool stuff Thunder32. I look forward to seeing it later this summer.

ActiveThunder 06-11-2003 01:11 PM

Dave,

Great shot! Any chance you could e-mail it down so we can put it on the website in the owner's section?

Thanks, Pat.

Dave M 06-11-2003 01:24 PM

Hey Pat,

No problem. I'll email all the ones I have when I get home later. It was tough driving and snapping pics at 70+

Hey Brian-

It will be finished in September I think, so not much boating for me this year. I'll be the one on the river with a coat on.......

Question, what is the gauge in front of the passenger?
On top of their dash?
If it is a digital compass, a waste of a good step space for a foot as you go to the bow.
Practicality is better than flair.

Otherwise a VERY pretty boat. Very impressive. The 525 is a great option in this boat, I am sure it will sell many.
Bryan

MassiveThunder 06-13-2003 06:17 AM

It is a compass.the deck has a non-skid walk-around so that you can get to the deck safely without climbing over the dash.

BryanTuvell 06-13-2003 07:22 AM

Cool, I have never had the pleasure of seeing an AT in person, from what I understand thet are very nice boats.
Thanks
Bryan

MassiveThunder 06-13-2003 08:38 AM

They are great boats! I have had 3 of them.

Miller 06-13-2003 10:59 AM

Nice looking boat. Now, about that cabin, when does IT GET THE MILLENIUM TREATMENT???? :D Everything looks impressive that you guys share with us these days. I look forward to seeing some more boats in the coming months!

MassiveThunder 06-13-2003 01:33 PM

Re: Active Thunder's new 28 design

Pat, I ran the boat in the Potomac River Poker Run yesterday and the boat was out of this world. Fortunately, I was able to get about 15 hrs on the engine and changed the oil prior to the run, so it was ready to roll. Top speed was 73.2 and it handled some fairly large water/wakes and flew perfectly. You definitely exceeded all my expectations. Thanks to you and your team for the quick turn-a-round and fantastic job. I will email you some pictures of the day.

John

Congrads and welcome to the Thunder family.

activethunder28 06-16-2003 03:54 PM

Thanks Boatfreak28, I am absolutely blown away with this boat. Pat and his team are excellent.

Sydwayz 06-16-2003 04:00 PM

activethunder28, what did you run previously? Will you be at Mattawoman this Saturday for the SPP?

activethunder28 06-16-2003 04:23 PM

This is my first performance boat, the previous boat was a 2001 23' Wellcraft Excalibur, with a 454. Regarding this Saturday, I just heard about something happening at Mattawoman. What is going on?

Sydwayz 06-16-2003 04:29 PM

I have never participated, but they call it the Swim Platform Party. Rafting starts about 10am on Saturday, and the party goes until Sunday. 43Thunder just reminded me about it. Everyone brings a covered dish, munchies, and lots of boat sodas. Everyone shares everything; except ladies, errrr, nevermind. We are going to try and make it.

What is the beam on the new AT 28.
She sure is pretty.
Thanks
Bryan

thunderdan 06-17-2003 09:06 AM

John's boat turned out great. It is a real head turner. 73mph is pretty impressive.

The beam on it is 8'4".

HebertNecessity 07-05-2003 02:25 PM

I'd like to see the 28 step with twin small blocks and pulse drives!
