Unhappy Kilo's Canceled

The weather in Muskegon today just wouldn't cooperate. First, fog this morning. Then sunshine and a light breeze. Then a whole s$!t load of fog and a pretty significant breeze for the runs. After Bacardi made two runs, they decided it just wasn't going to work out. As far as I know, they will try again tomorrow at 12:00, if the weather is good. But the forcast is calling for possible thunderstorms. We'll see.

By the way - Bacardi's runs were 176 & 177

Thumbs up

Brian, thanks for the directions to the viewing area. Had the weather cooperated that would have been THE spot!

Brian,

Well we know you will be here next week racing One Design, now maybe Bacardi and Callan will come down to set the Kilo record here on our 5 mile straightaway.

I talked to the guys in the Callahan Marine Zodiak as they were pulling up the course markers on Muskegon Lake on Saturday evening. I asked them what time they were going to run on Sunday and the answer I got was they were NOT going to run on Sunday.

The Coast Gaurd gave them a tight window to run in. Sunday was NOT in that window.

They got hosed! the coasty's wouldn't let them wait out the fog the window was from 3-5 and they shut them down at 3:45 if we waited another 30 min. or so it would have cleared. Better luck next time sure was cool to see all that hardware!
Pier 57 even gave a couple rides to some of the guys at Great Lakes Sunday afternoon...way cool!!!
