Jeff ... the price and weight diff. from #5 to #6 is substantial ... the #5 is good on a big boat (43) twin application to 800-900 HP no problem... may get alittle hairy after that. That being said ... If this is a situation where you can afford to go either way ... you won't regret going with the #6 (resale ect...) If this is a new boat ,your writing some BIG checks anyway.... DONT scimp on the driveline !!!!!

Jeff, in order my choices would be (assuming you don't go with #6s):
-Merc #5 -Arneson -Weissman -Sage -Pulse Drives -Merc #3 -BMAX -Buzzi -IMCO 4x4 Those would be my suggestions. |
i rode in seans cougar when i was in palm coast a few weeks back, that had "SUPERBIG" ke power with #5's.#5's would be less than #6's. i agree with lucy, 3a's would work fine ,and would leave $$$ for juice:D

How many blown bravos, imco's, or B-max's does it take to pay for 1 set of six's or 5's. And once your stuck with the bravo type configuration they keep blowing and blowing and blowing....
