Who had new trim pumps?

I am in need of a new Merc trim pump assy. I saw an ad recently somewhere for new, never used Merc trim pumps for short $$.

Whats the pump doing? I had a loud nasty sounding pump and just got away replacing the motor, saved about $2-300.
