looks to me like the innovative marine ones have 45* pickups, not the 90* like the simrek..

Seems the 90* pickup is fool proof, where as the ones w/ 45* might not perform all that well at different trim agles..

I'm going to buy one this week for my ITS XR...

I was looking at the gaffrig offered by CP Performance.
CP Performance

I might be interested in ordering with you, but you didn't specify which one was offering the discount.

Simereck is the one that offers the discount on 6 or more

I just bought and installed the innovative unit. It actually has what they call an "ice cream scoop" in technical terms its a swept 90 deg which actually flows better than the hard 90 in the simrek. I'm sure both work fine, but the swept 90 is better- at least on paper.

Well, If we can find 4 more interested, count me in...

I have a few friends around here with Simerecks and they seem to be happy with them.

Cool.. thanks for that info Cat... :)

Oh yea- he gave me an "OSO" discount just for asking, no GP required. The unit I bought is made specific for the XR/ITS ribbed cap, nice piece.

P.S. check out the FAQ's on simreks web-site,, very informative about how the top cap ones do not work as well as the halo's.. seems they direct the water towards the top bearing cap and the sides of the drive better..

I guess you could count me in for a Simrek group buy also.. :)
