Default Pristine 1977 Cigarette 28SS

If anyone is looking for a beautiful 1977 Cigarette 28SS, I went and saw this one a few weeks ago and it is absolutely beautiful.

The gentleman who owns it completely restored it in 1999/2000. New Imron paint, new interior, engines rebuilt, TRS drives rebuilt and a 3 year old custom made trailer. It has been in his family for many years and only used in fresh water.

The only reason I did not buy it is the wife wanted a larger cuddy than what this one had to offer. He is asking $39,900CDN (approx. $29,500US) and is located just across the river from Detroit. If you are interested send an email to [email protected]

It's been for sale for awhile. It was in OSO classifieds. The 28 Cig can still outperform lots of modern boats , and even some bigger boats. Extremely fun to drive.

Looks like a lenghtend engine compartment, or was that standard on the 77's?

I don't know for sure, but he said the engine hatch and compartment were all original. All the hardware on the hull is original too.

that engine compartment does lookk standard length. I've only seen one that was lengthened. It was at an apba race in Baltimore a couple of years ago. Not sure if it was done by the factory or what, because it was the only one I've everseen...but it was about 6-10" longer than stock

I found this posted somewhere about the boat. Love those 28's!!

LOW/LOW HOURS ON TWIN 5.7LITRE VORTEC HEAD ENGINES!
APPROXIMATELY 350 PHP EACH.
TRS "BULLIT PROOF" DRIVES 1.5:1.
LABBED 4 BLADE SS 24" PITCH 15.25" MERCRUISER PROPS!
BEST TOP END TO DATE IS 63.7MPH ON GPS.
SHE IS A TRUE OFFSHORE THAT LOVES ROUGH WATER!
ASK ANYONE THAT IS FAMILIAR WITH THE 28SS AND I GUARANTEE THEY WILL AGREE SHE IS ONE OF THE BEST BUILT OFFSHORES EVER MADE.
