Question Home Theater ?'s

I know we have some HT guru's on the board, so......

1. Are there any good websites that discuss design?

2. What DLP projector gives you the most bang for the buck, or is DLP the wrong choice?

3. Has anyone ever used "Goosystems" screen goo?

Thanks
Mike

Hey check out this web page www.hometheaterforum.com
they have some good info on there board, If you go DLP try to find one with three DMD chips, one for each color, these are the best, the cheaper DLP sets only have one DMD chip in it, you should also look into the newer D-ILA[ direct-drive image light amplifier] also known as LCOS, they have a great pixel density.

I actually finished my home theater system.... I just need to figure out how to resize some of the images so I can post them, and also take some "finished" pics... I only have before and under construciton pics... I must say troutly, after seeing yours that made me get it in gear and do mine!

I have a mitsu 60" rear projection TV... My living room is a bit bigger than troutly's by the looks of his picture... It is 16' wide and 28' long. I built a false wall 28" out from the original to make the TV and components flush mounted. Some day I will get pics posted... really.. I swear... Just got to figure out how to resize em... My "free" photo editor software ran out and that is the one feature that i used on it...

Oh yeah, I have already decided that when the TV dies... I will be getting a projector as a replacement ... Just dont need one yet... the TV works great still!

the room is now 16X28... that was taking off the 28" for the false wall.. originally it was 33' (ok so it is a bit longer than 28' oh well who is counting) and it is a vaulted ceiling it starts at 8' and goes to something like 14'. It IS the great room in the house!...
