Hey Guys I'm down here now. There are maybe 10 boats here for the race. Most classes only have 2 boats in it. I guess if you still loss you get 2nd place. Went to the boat parade yesterday we had a good time. Also most of the baots here are foutain's. It's a shame how small this race has become. Plus side there a ton of hot chicks here. Minus side I'm here with my wife! just kidding!

Considering that I am looking from my balcony at the Hyatt in Sarasota, I see at least 35 boats. As for the parade, The person who counted 6 or 8 boats forgot to take off his shoes to keep counting because there were many more boats than 8. And for xracer wondering what to do to get more boats to an SBI race, negative comments won't bring more people. I came from Louisiana and I enjoy this race very much considering it is my second year to be here and as of right now, I'll be back next year. Since it is close to New Orleans, I'll definitely go to the August SBI race in Orange Beach, Alabama expecting to have as much fun as I am having here.

The Sarasota newspaper mentions that there are 27 boats competing today. There were only 14 boats in Marathon during a month that APBA did not even have a race. Now they are going to double their participants on the same weekend as an APBA event. I guess it's possible - but unlikely. It should be interesting.

I was in Sarasota this morning. We went to the beach to find a place to watch the race, but couldn't find a parking spot (holiday weekend). We listened to in on the radio on the way home. 27 boats reported entered. Pier 57 won Superboat Unlimited, Bacardi broke. Muscle won Superboat V. No reports whatsoever on the other classes.

Juussst kidding. Don't take it too seriously........
