Just got an FYI .... Where the hell is Mentor !?????

If you haven't heard yet .... this weekend (July 11,12,13) there is a big Poker Run/ APBA Race event just east (20 miles) of Cleveland Ohio on Lake Erie.

Contact MHYC for more info ... 440-257-7214

Or just get me on the Board !!!!

Are there any good places to dock Saturday night and watch the race on Sunday? Where is a good launch?

Thanks,

Unfortunately, docking space is very limited due to the fact that the big ships are coming that weekend , also. Your best bet would be to check at Fairport Harbor for dock space, and watch the race from the designated spectator area on Sunday. I wish I could tell you more about where to watch the race, but I haven't seen a course map yet. Sorry!

There is a nice ramp just West of the city on Rt.2... I would look around eastlake as well.

We will be there with the One Design boats and still have one available for lease if anyone is interested... just a note, GLSCS is a discounted price off the Pro tour.

padraig ..... There should be plenty of dockage in Mentor ... if not @ MHYC then You can raft up with us ( 1/4 mile up the lagoon before bridge ) as long as you don't mind one of the biggest parties of the year !!!!

Launch @ Fairport Port authority ramps. Take 90 W. to 44 N. to 2 E. to Richmond St. exit ... head north ... Mentor is 5 Miles West.

Thanks, I will try to make it Sat. night or early Sunday. Wish I could make the Poker Run but doesn't look good right now.

I will be in a Velocity 280 named Saorise.

Fairport Harbor and Eastlake are the two best bets for launch ramps. Mentor will not have the capability for ramping in.
