what should idle oil PSI be? I replaced a blown intake gasket (she runngin again) but my oil PSI seem high 40 at idle and gos to around 60 when running. Running pressure seems normal but idle seems kind of high?

I have a 97 Yukon with 90,000 miles and it runs about 25 PSI at idle and a 00-3500 with 45,000 miles and it runs at 28-30 PSI at idle - both have 5.7's and engines have never been opened.
If it helps.

my 96 5.7 yukon idles at around 25-30 when hot...its about 40 at idle when cold....running is around 60 like yours......i wouldnt worry about it too much. Mine has 108K minles on it. My old dually never went below 40 at idle hot/cold....but then again i had that truck from day one and used nothing but Synthetic on her so i know hoe it was broken in.
