How do those little bullet boats handle rough water, and what kind of speed are they getting? I am looking to buy a small boat just for fun. I kind of want a mini cat but I think a vee would be safer and more fun in rough water. I have seen many pics of huge air in those boats, how do they handle the landings..ever any cracking or breakage of the hull??
Anyone else with experience on theese feel free to chime in

I've seen sharkey's boat, and the thing was built to last. No stress cracks whatsoever. And this is THE boat that you've seen in many of the pics. There may be 1 or 2 for sale on his website, www.sharkeymarine.com . I think he may have sold his. You may want to check the local jersey paper classifieds. Many of these boats stayed close to home, and pop up for sale every once in a while. www.app.com

Looks like many of them have the 3 cylinder OMC engines. What kind of speed do they run, and do a couple of them have V6s on the back?

The most I ran was an inline 4, but found better handling and speed with the 3 cylinder OMC.
Top end was around 70 mph.
Always wanted to build one for a 2.5 EFI w/15 inch midsection just for kicks!!!!

It still may happen, being as I haven't sold the molds yet....
