I think there is more to it other than just using more names. Someone had mentioned that the multiple "names" were being used to pump their business for free on a board that makes money from advertising.
Personally I always looked to see what advice Bobby was giving. He really got me thinking about doing my roller lifters however do I now have to question his recommendations over which manufacturer to use. He beat Comp Cams pretty hard, was their a motive behind this? Just really need to question his recommendations now.

The original start of this thread was a complaint about Power Marine. Now it is a Jack Bailey slamming post.
Why ?

The important thing is to see if Power Marine makes good on Marks boat. And it sounds like he was trying.

Again, to clarify, I have no knowledge of any specifics of THIS instance. I can however closely relate it to my past experience. I know for a fact that several members at that time did not come forward as we all hoped that Bruce Dudley would "make good" on his promises. Some people may be sitting back waiting to get their stuff done or corrected before making a statement that might pi$$ off these guys. Just a theory that was valid in MY situation. The builder could have just as easily had a bay day with these two members who came forward and this is NOT a regular occurrence.

I am in no way trying to imply these guys are con artist but there can be very valid reasons why people are not coming forward.

I actually had people PM'ing me telling me to shut up about Bruce because I would just piss him off. He still stole my money, and theirs.

Hopefully, this will all get worked out and everyone will live happily ever after. If anything, perhaps these guys learned the value of customer service. Keeping your customers happy will ensure they come back and tell their friends to come as well.

I have been reading these post about Power Marine, and I agree that (mpejsa) definatley had a bad experience, but I live in NY and was referred to Robert about a year and a half ago. I have spent over $100K there in the past year and a half, and with the exception of two times there was no problems. On one occasion last year a week before the Atlantic City Poker run I had a blown a head Gasket and warped the head on a fairly new engine. Robert had the engine back to me as good as new with-in a week head work and everything. I recently just had them work 2 500 efi's which ran on the dyno at 635hp naturally aspirated. I have run them for the past 30 hrs and have been flawless. Everyone has some bad experiences, hell what business doesn't, but I would reccommened them to anyone. Robert has always been a class act with me, and as for the other people involved ....Who cares ...My boat runs great!

bottom line is i personally have not had any bad dealings with them as they are named.

I edited my first and second post very soon after posting --and i removed their names -- that maybe why some of this looks very confusing.

Although I haven't spent thousands of dollars with Bobby/Jack he still saved me quite a bit on replumbing my fuel system. Also he has the best price on Redline gear lube.
His tech advice as been helpfull and I'm currently talking to him on a cam to hopefully solve my lifter issues.
I don't see why he is still banned from OSO.

OSO wants somebody to post a business license for Power Marine, but he has exiled everybody related to Power Marine (maybe not Ambusher, I'm not sure). That's odd.

Fknlawyer has branded all 40 miscreants as known con artists, but he must have access to privileged information cause I've not seen evidence or proof on this thread (with the exception of a separately-threaded message regarding lack of payment on some Whipple products that was difficult to understand and am not sure what it did or didn't "prove").

Bobby Daniels/Jack Bailey was convicted because he "thought" OSO was shaking its finger at him? (I also thought OSO was shaking its finger at him). The allegations were that he was involved in "gang-raping" the forum to "set the hook" on unsuspecting moneybags boat owners. I'm not convinced, given the "evidence" shown here.

Blown1500 rode a man's job for six months and then outsourced it to somebody who crammed it full of junk parts. That's hard to forgive, but he appears to be trying to right the wrong (which I promise is more than the guys around here would do - they'd let you drag them into court over it). I'm NOT trying to minimize Mark's pain at all. ALL boatowners have experienced some form of this treatment, and it is truly painful. But he is now a goner from this forum, too.

It was certainly in Mark's best interest for OSO to keep Blown's membership in the green until this issue was resolved. I feel that OSO has chosen a bad time to strip Blown from OSO cause he may now feel that he has no reason to keep his name clear on this forum.

Piling on. That's happening alright. While it would be tremendously helpful for those who HAVE experienced questionable dealings with Blown/Bobby, et al, to post them in this forum, all we're getting is he said she said. Clips of other threads that are out of context here, exaggerations, and worse. We've even got a complete contingent of chest-puffers beating their fists and claiming that NOBODY would get away with treating THEIR motors "that" way.

Jeez.

Mark, I truly hope you are treated fairly from this point forward cause it sure sounds like you've been dragged thru the mud up to this point.

Blown, I hope somebody gives you the chance to defend yourself if there is anything to actually defend OR to at least be able to fess up and apologize if you are really a con.

Bobby/Jack, I hope OSO gives you the option of renewing a membership with a non-misleading screen name and allowing you to attempt to clear your name as well.

Maybe OSO would let you guys come back if you would submit business licenses and maybe buy some ad space (not trying to be smart@ss, I'm trying to be serious).

OR

Maybe I'll get exiled cause I'll be tried and convicted of being in cahoots with Blown & friends.

When Blown1500 came on and said he would make it right with Mark, I was thinking everyone else should get off his back so that Mark could get his boat fixed. The way everyone piled on, justified or not, Blown may have said "fck it, there's no way to clear my name now" and blown off Mark.

Everyone makes mistakes in business, it's how you deal with them that makes the difference. Let's hope Mark gets treated fairly.

I tell ya guys, the more digging around I do, the more I am convinced that Bobby/Jack has done little wrong.....and certainly nothing that would warrant this sort of abuse he is taking. Has he made a mistake or two.....?? Probably, I'm not sure, maybe he has. But not enough to be getting hammered like this....hell, who HASN'T made the same mistakes. I make mistakes everyday....better look in your closets people...

I was "-" close to having them sent down to Blown1500 - but in the end they stayed where they were at and I finally got them about 2 weeks ago - 574 h.p. each.
I DID/DO have an issue with how they were completed, and the cost that was quoted...and I'd like to hear what you guys have to say about it...but rather than jump on this post, I'm going to start another post regarding the final outcome of my engines.

Guys I don't know why Mark has not posted a response by now, but I can tell you that he did go to the water and he did go for a ride and he did take the boat home. And from what I am hearing he was happy. Now lets just see if he is a man of his word, because it sounds as if Robert was a man of his.

Ok -- met with robert this afternoon -- turned out the problem was a couple bad rocker's. For some reason they were not being oiled properly and they over heated causing the pushrod failure. (I am sure once robert is re-enabled he can give a more accurate description).

Robert put new ones in with a higher grade push rod -- fired it up and seemed to run fine. During this time Jack Bailey had called to find out how things were going. He then offered a set of Gold Crane roller rockers (at no charge to me). This was to ensure that there would be no issue at all with rocker failure ever again. I thank him and TJ(Ambusher) for providing the roller rockers and having that extra security in the motor.

Got them installed and adjusted (robert and his helper did it right there while i waited) and we then headed down to lake wylie. I met up with Ambusher and he went out for a ride to test out the motor. He did take some video and a few pictures (hopefully he will post it).

The only problems found were a leaky pepcock (just wasn't shut all the way) and the alternator belt was slipping. They were able to fix those two items on the spot and every thing ran fine. He did point out i had a leaky exhaust manifold which i already knew about (new ones will be on order shortly - -money money money).

So the bottom line is that power marine took care of me in the end.

Also i'd like to thank everyone on OSO -- I was truly "upset" with this whole ordeal -- and with your encouragement I gave them another shot -- and things worked out well.

I am up to 3 hours on the motor -- and I'll be taking it gently for a while -- but i have my fingers crossed that this phase of my boat project is complete.
