There are several ways of combating this issue by yourself. I would shoot a PM to Hot Boat and or Tantrum and I am sure they can tell you what they did to fix Tantrums. It worked very well and was not all that bad of a job. I too would replace the bellows etc while you have it apart. Good luck.

Tank, several things contribute to this issue. The worst one is time. Steering slop also contributes. When mine broke, it looked just like Rags, just ask Tinkerboater.
I think leaving the water also helps it along....it puts a lot of stress on the drive when you re-enter the water after catching some air.

sorry I dont have one laying around. wished I did. That one that spots has looks like a HP unit. that would be good deal, I think. I havent priced one in along time.
