Places to stay in The Florida keys
Alright fellow Florida OSOers. I need some help. My buddy and I (wives included) will be traveling to Florida to pick up a new boat. We decided to pick up the boat first and then make a vacation out of it. I am looking for some advice on places to stay in the Keys. Obviously, the place has to have boat slips and trailer parking. Would like somewhere close to nightlife. We will be fishing, scuba, cruising, etc. The place needs to have nice facilites, pool, and beaches for the wives should they decide to stay onshore for the day. The place doesn't need to be a hotel. Condo, Townhomes, houses, etc are ok. I started searching the internet and saw a place called Mariner's Club that looked like it might fit the bill. Any suggesitons would be greatly appreciated.

Key largo, stay at the Marriott. It has a place to pull boat into and dock overnight (just got back from there in the Cig) and it is free for the boat. Pool is right next to where boat is docked and outside bar (again right next to boat and pool) serves great mudslides. There is a cut just south of the Marriott and you can boat on either the bay or ocean. Cut has a decent current and opens up on Pennykamp sp. park on ocean side. You will find plenty of snorkeling and dive spots here, just get a map or follow the dive boats.
Go to Gilberts just south for afternoon music and night life.
As mentioned Holiday Isle is south in Islamorada, but to be honest it has gotten a little run down.
Have fun.
