Default Boat insurance cancelled-boat is too fast

I just recieved a non-renewel notice from Progressive Northern Insurance Co., that I got last year from Bob @ Worldwide Marine Underwritters.
The reason for this non-renewel notice (they say) is because, "the maximum speed for the 99 Active 32' is an unacceptable coverage risk"
Has anybody else ran into this problem w/Progressive?
And who would you recommend for an 80 mph boat?

Todd wouldn't have the slightest idea - Progressive Liab. only here.
Good to meet you last weekend. Sweet looking boat! I didn't see you at Shooters Sat. night - although I did fall asleep in mine at Shooters dock about 11:30. Boy, what a party animal I am in my old age! I guess Party Cove was too much for me.
Maybe we can hook up next time at LOTO.

try sy Goldberg @ Total Dollar, ( 845-356-7251) and see if he can get you covered in your area, they speed should't be a problem, i just don't know if he can get a policy written in your area?

Try PMA. I think they are still a sponsor. My old insurance compant declined to re-insure performance boats. PMA gave me quick response and was very competitive. Policy was with Markel.

Markel is one of only three insurance companies that write performance boats anymore. And the max speed is not what YOU tell them.........it's what the MANUFACTURE tells them. So, if the manufacture is bragging up speeds to sell boats................well you should be able to get the jist........
PMA and WorldWide both handle Markel.......they have been very good and right by me. even after a 7800.00 claim year before last........still under 3500.00 a year

Try Alliance Marine Risk Managers In florida, 800.441.7755 Talk to John Campbell, I like the agreed Value policy with Lloyds of London. They saved me about a grand off my other policy.

I agree with Barcoastal. Sy Goldberg will take good care of you. The last 3 boats i've had, and they have been high performance boats, i had them insured through Sy, and i live in Las Vegas. Best of luck.
