I was looking at the Cigarette literature pics on sean's site (and he has got an outstanding collection of the older stuff). I got to wondering about the history of some of these older boats.
I e-mailed Cigarette about a year ago, my vin# and inquired if they had anything on mine but never got a response. Considering I'm run a 74' model, records are probobly long gone anyway.
Has anybody on the board tracked down their boats history and if so, how?
I have to this point:
1. Tryed Cigarette.
2. Spoke with the previous owner who could not recall any past owners names. He stated he was the third owner.
I know my boat left the factory baby blue!!!
I mean how many baby blue
boats could Cig had made in 74'?
Anybody got any suggestions?

Bud is your best bet....I am sure they probably still have records on the boat because of USCG regulations. If the boat has been documented you can go to the NOAA (?) website for vessel documentation inquiries and trace it back through them. Or as someone said earlier go through the DMV it has a history ever since the MSO was issued.
