Thanks for the great shot!

Cool!
Those are some good pics, but if I try to open them they go HUGE size and are very hard to see clearly....very distorted. Is it my computer? Is there a way to adjust this....you have a great shot of us running with the chopper I would like to put on the website with your permission. Thanks....great pics!! Allan Hilsinger P5-48 |
Thanks Mark!
|
Allan, You can use them as you wish. I leave them big so everyone could use them the way they want. After viewing you can right click on the picture and choose save as, Then you could resize them on your computer. You can always go down in size but not up without getting grainy.
They should not be distorted but they are a little dim. The rain made the pictures less crisp if the boats were far away. |
Allan, I see the picture you are asking about, Yes its a little blurry, sorry I cannot do anything for that. It was just too far away. I had a super long lens but it still gets a little shaky.

p1-32 agitator offshore thanks you guys for the picture of us at the start showing how we can pull the reliable cat with a broken tooth in the lower unit on the drive!!!!!!!!!!! did anyone get a picture of us in the kilo on sat running 140 mph?? i would like to see it. thanks again charlie amann <pilot P1-32 agitator>
|
I would hope you would be able to pull us with a 32 ft boat with blower mtrs vs a 40 without. But pulling us and staying with us are two different things.I think the results were the same at metro beach, with a good gear!!! Tom

Nice Shots
Kinda sounds like a challenge Charlie hmmmm. We would like to see these two show up for the Cumberland Poker Run hmmmmm. You guys both looked great out there glad the drive held together! :D |
That would be great, the Cumberland Poker Run is a blast. Hopefully we will see you all there!
We may be dialing in a boat or 2 down there ourselves. |
i never said that my 32 skater would step over what your skater goes over. relax i am just having fun with my 17 year old boat. you guys looked great out there and i hope you guys kick there butts in the proseries race next week. i can tell you guys spend a lot of time on r&d on your skater just like i did on mine. anyways good luck and be safe. i just think that you dont understand how it feels to be on the course with you guys. look at it from my perspective. good luck CHARLIE AMANN P1-32 AGITATOR OFFSHORE

Hey Ray....thanks a ton. I appreciate it very much.
Nice post Charlie. I hope 46tomcat knows you are just playing around. All you guys looked fantastic. I will post some pics tomorrow. I have some good Agitator shots, but not many good action photos...sorry. Hey 46tomcat, I have some great home video of you guys running. I would say atleast 4-5 minutes worth....pretty much every time you came by the grandstand area and a few of the backstretch. Let me know and we can figure out a way to get you a copy. Great weekend guys....pics tomorrow...thanks again Ray. Allan Hilsinger P5-48 Hilsinger Motorsports, LLC Cincinnati, Ohio |
How does a formula set up for F2 run in P4 class? What fun is it for people to go out and race in a class against boats that are 10-15 MPH slower than they do. It is not as bad on the national circuit but at divisionals it seems out of hand.

Thats good I thought that would be alittle far fetched for P4. Thanks for the info.

Here is a interesting sidebar to the races.
Last week Tuesday afternoon a good friend went fishing with another person in a 19' Starcraft bowrider just off the St. Clair waterfront. A lake freighter going downriver passed them and a 36 foot sailboat running on engine behind the freighter pulled out to pass the freighter and ran into their boat. My friend jump into the river, they were drift fishing. The other person stayed with the boat and was pinned between the sailboat bow and his dashbord after the collision. Fortunatly the sailboat operator was able to reverse the tranny and back away. My friend swam to the sailboat and climbed aboard. The other guy stayed with the now crumpled boat. One of the offshore racers was out on the river setting up for race weekend. He saw the collision and powered over to assist with the rescue and I think he also towed the boat back to shore. My friend forgot the racers boat name but I'd like to thank him for helping out with the rescue. If you're an OSO member THANK YOU ! If anyone knows who this person may be please thank him for me. ed |
Ryan had asked how a f2 formula races in P4. A little more info on that is: This boat is set up with a pair of 496 ho merc motors. It is set up for a new class called V2 that Scott Porter from Formula is tring to get started.I hope we can get others interested in doing this as like a factory type class. The basics are any boat 8200 to 8500 lbs 496 ho mags xr sportmaster drives. The idea is stay under 82 mph(safer in open cockpit). This was brought on by the Jack Stoerrle accident. Plus costs are a little better 11000 496 engine vs 30000 525 eng. The reason I run in P4 is no other V2 boats and its not a national class yet.

It was great to see all the familiar faces once again. And even nicer to put faces with the the names of some of you OSOers. Allan4, it was great talking with you Sunday. Thanks for the shirt. I'll add it to my collection. Although it'll be hard to keep from my boyfriend now that he knows that you're running a 24' Baja. You just gained a huge fan. Hope you make it to Grand Haven. Don't let the water scare you. If nothing else, just come for the party. As for the rest of you, congratulations on your victories and another safe race. See you all in Grand Haven.

Here's one more. Mike works very hard to put his show together. I hope everyone finds the time to watch, even if it means taping it for a later viewing.
