Who thinks Too Old needs Psychiatric Help?
This guy has worked on more boats and spent less time on the water than anyone I know! I thought the goal was to get it fixed and use it as much as possible before it breaks again? Fred fixes 'em up and sells them and never gets a chance to enjoy them!

Slightly off topic but I am having a pretty stressful Tues and it's only 9:38 AM so a thread like this helps me cope. Thanks guys for a lighthearted look at everyday things

He's probably more sane than the rest of us...consider this: the rest of us go around in a frustrating circle of cleaning and doing maintenence on our boats and then taking them out on the water....only to require cleaning again and more maintenence...and so on and so on...like morons chasing our own asses. Fred cleans and maintenences the boat once (very thoroughly I might add) and then kicks back for months laughing at us all, as we circle in futility! :eek: ;)

OK so I am wrong, it's still hard to believe that if you buy a stripped down boat and rebuild it yourself to show room quality that you can't make a buck. Factoring in your labor probably not, but then this appears to be a hobby. I agree with Rippem, we are the insane ones, especially when you live in an area where you can boat about 3 months a year, and half of that time it rains!!!

I say anybody that thinks Fred has a problem needs to go find there own french fries that are missing. Fred has the coolest hobby around. Who cares if the boats don't get wet that offten. All the better for the recipeant of the final product. Too Old is doing what he wants, in my book thats worth all the tea in China.

Fred fills a very necessary void in the boating world. We need many more like him. He takes all the ****ed up boats in the world and makes them new agian for people like you and I to enjoy. THANKS Fred. Otto

Too Old fixes up the boats to look great, I make nice fresh Bravo drives turn into clam digging devices, covered with barnacles and paint scratches.
Too Old obviously likes boats TOO MUCH to use them, like Ferrari's in glass enclosed viewing rooms. Sometimes I think he is right. Should I have a nice boat in a glass room, then rent beater boats to have fun with? <gg> |
