Why is a Cigarette better than a Fountain?

Exactly. None of the boat we drive should be on these damn "tracks." It's like taking "Funny Cide" and making him run a closed course barrel race. The reason for boats spinning out and rolling over is that they aren't built to "barrel race" like a rodeo. It's not steps or any other "cop out" excuse like that.
The race should be point A to point B, wide ass open, like it used to be.

I sold my 1985 Cigarette this week as well as a friends 1998 Fountain. It was interesting to listen to the surveyors comments on the quality of construction of the two boats.
I'll leave it at that.

Have ridden on Fountains and own a Cig. When I was rounding the "hole in the wall" toward the Berry Islands and then running across the stream toward Miami, I was dam glad I was in a Cig. I swore (in the middle of the gulf stream) that if I ever made it back Miami alive, I would never say a bad thing about a Cigarette in my remaining life.

I own an Active Thunder, because are no egos, controversies, blunt opinions, or as sholes associated with these boats, their owners, or the company and people that produce them.
Note: I think Cigs and Fountains are both nice boats too.......
