Well classic, I am going to run a Merlin 540 cubic inch motor pushing 585 h.p. I have a new mercury racing transom assembly for the Bravo. It is basically a speed master 6 1/2 transom setup for a bravo with dual ram hydraulics built into a 7 inch standoff box. Really cool stuff. The boat is now converted to a single engine. Every part on the boat will be brand new. I have done some pretty extensive customizing on the boat and it will be unlike any Magnum that was ever built. Maybe someday we can get these two classics together for a magazine article or something.

?????? What's wrong with Bravos? They can easily handle 600 H.P. I am not putting that much to them.

The boat down in the islands is a Magnum 25. They did an awesome job putting it back together.

Sean may have a few pics up on thunderboat alley.

Group,

I have an update for the interested...

The boat restoration is well underway.

1) new original style bulk heads aft of the cockpit are cut and fitted for installation.

2) The transom has been re-worked back to a single configuration and re-glassed.

3) The stringers aft are back to original layout wrapped in new old school roving.

Forward of the cockpit the work begins the first week of December, the projected time frame is about two months.
(Dec, Jan,) Then the real fun begins in re-creating the cockpit curb and dash and rigging the boat for power.

Projected water test date 7/04/2004

Pictures are being taken but there on hold until near completion of the project.

Vintage Offshore Foundation.
