is the difference between the 496 and the 496HO similar to the difference in the older 7.4 vs 454mag where the lessor version was less condusive to future upgrades?

Also, what about reliability and long life with the 496HO, is it a 500 hour engine?

525 without a doubt, it is a rock solid engine with EXCELLENT performance.

DK, one year standard, 5 year extendable. You can get the same on a 500/525.
