Went out on Bob Powell's 26 Velocity today. One word... ACCELERATION!!!! Running along at 50 mph.........roll into the throttle and 90+ in no time. Had to get out of it ....damn "no wake" zone!!! Boat has gotten the best of 100mph+!! What a blast, fast, great ride and attitude!!!!Sweet!!! Thanks Bob & Gail.

The reason I wasn't out on the Active is that the steering has a serious problem. Feels like driving with a crap load of play in a steering box. Still under warranty so it's at the marina ....waiting. Next spring she gets a treat, full hydraulic steering.

Don't know exactly what was done but they aren't your run 'o' the mill outboard. Intimidating I think is the word!!

Just got back from a little spin on the steering impaired Active. Turns out the gimble is worn at the top pivot point. Lets see how mercruiser handles this with my warranty. Went over to the Nauti goose and had some lunch (Drinks) and some liquid refreshment (More drinks). Took Bob Powell out for a ride on the considerably slower Active. But the weather held out for us and this weekend was not a loss at all!!!

Those BIG Johnson's are evolution phase 4, 400 hp V-8's reliable every weekend oh yeah did I mention it's 4 sale.
