Many moons ago when I was 16 and lead-footed, I was nabbed doing 85 in a 55 in rural MD. The case was heard in a one room courthouse with a judge that was older and meaner than Scrooge. I had a lawyer with me who knew the judge. I got sentenced to a 300 word essay and a scowling, "Slow down, son!"

Go with a lawyer, take your lumps and grab your ankles when the new insurance bill arrives.

Is the judge able to change this to "Wreckless OP"? If so, insurance will only go up 60/month for liability only, a total of 200 a month :( If not, then it is still a minor violation, and will go up about 10/month :)

try to get it reduced, by no means plead guilty to 90 in a 55, if you do you will be in the "highest assigned risk"
see if he will let you plead to 15 over or 70 in a 55
you will need a lawyer to pull this off.
I had a 76 in a 55 reduced to a to a disobeying a traffic device $75.00

I guess it is a good thing my "Cant drive 55" stickers arent on there yet, and that would have been an awesome theme song for my ticket :) I passed him, and didnt even look back, I pulled off and was sitting in a parking lot with radio off, license and registration in hand waiting for him to haul me off, LOL!!!

How? I have a 92 ranger 2.3, I was surprised I achieved 90, would that benefit me at all?

It doesn't take any special talent or intelligence to get one. I've been driving for 32 years and I've had two speeding tickets. One when I was a punk ass. I learned from mine and didn't get another ticket for 30 years.

I assure you that if you had run into someone's mom, daughter, brother, son or dad, the family would not have been impressed with your attempt at being macho.
