I also heard a few years ago that there were some guys supplying diesel fuel that was made from used peanut oil. It was supposedly sold at some marinas in Florida and made your boat smell like the popcorn stand at the movie house. It was about 20% more expensive than petro diesel but ran with no soot.

I've never heard any more about it since then, nor have i ever seen it for sale...
