Key West
 

Whos going to Key West for the Worlds? I'm looking for somewhere to stay, inexpensive { cheap but with clean sheets and few bugs}, hopefully near Duval St and within walking distance of Mallory Square. Any ideas?

Not sure about places to stay, but if your going to mallory square stay away from the screaming cat guy:rolleyes: :D

We looked at a place right off Duval $250+ a night.
I guess 250 a night is not bad if your only staying 2-3 nights but 8 days>:eek:

Check with the Plams on White street. It's about a 1/4 mile walk from Mallory but it's a deicent place for less than $100 a nite. We already have 5 rooms there. Lets see if OSO can take the place over for the week!:cool:

We're staying a t a camp ground on the north end of the island. They have slips and a ramp... I guess we'll be staying on the boat.

$265 for Hotel, or $265 for gas to feed 502s??? Hmmmm.
I think we'll be puttin' some hours on the boat that weekend.

I've been staying at the Southernmost hotel for three years now. It's on Duval, and goes for like 99 bucks a night. It's on the quiet side of the island, but a 10 minute walk or a $3.00 cab fare will get you just about anywhere.

We're staying at Harborside. It's not on Duval Street - but it's cheap and VERY clean. They do have boat slips too - but not sure what they will accommodate size wise. We'll be hanging out with "Just Say No" and possibly the debut of "INXS" at the Galleon.

Hey man. You guys going down again?
It's been about a month before the races on average from what I can remember. It's a nice place to stay, clean, quiet, well stocked and has a nice tiki bar and pool area. I recommend it! It's no 5-star luxury place, but it's a lot nicer than you'd expect from the price. :)

John and I will be staying on the boat at the Galleon Marina. We will have "Just Say No" there and possably "INXS" trying to get it ready for a debut. Stop by and have a cocktail with us.

I hear the southern most hotel is nice. I always stay at the Wyndam Casa Marina it's about 10 min walk from Duval but well worth it nicest place on the island. I'll be there in room #169 :D :p

DUDE I'M SO FRIGGIN EXCITED I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL I'M IN KEY WEST THIS NOV

I was able to get rooms at the Hampton Inn for $119.00. Not too bad for there.

Problem with the hampton is it's competely on the wrong side of the island. Stayed at the southernmost a couple of years ago. it is pretty nice. Thing I like most about the palms (BESIDES THE NAME, TROUTY) is they omly have about 20 rooms, and they all suround the pool and tiki bar.

I'll be there. This will be the first time I have ever seen a race so why not start with the biggest!!!!

I have a private beach and an outside bar I just wanna have a great time lets party! AS it gets closer we gotta all plan to party 1 night

I'll be there the 14th through the 23rd. I'm not sure where I am in relation to Duvall, but I do know I have a hot tub in my condo! We'll definitely have to do an OSO gathering while down there...

Yes, Tim and Ian - we will be at the Galleon come on by. We are hoping to have INXS in the water and of course "Just Say No" will be there - slip #12 - close to the front.

We will be there for the World's races in November and back December 13th through January 4th. See ya then!!

So where and when is the offical OSO party?

The problem is not knowing the faces. Were do we get OSO name tags?

Sloppy Joe's on Wed night after the races? Or how about room 169 at the Casa? A bunch of my friends are staying at the Casa too. I'll be at 1800 Atlantic, we rented a condo for the 8 days.
