What about this one? Can you guys tell me what it will and won't do?..

The zoom on the above sucks..

If you do boating don't settle for less than 10X OPTICAL

I have a new Olympus C-750 ($599), 10X optical, movie with sound, sequence mode and writes fast as hell and is 4.3 megapixel..

See my photos at : http://community.webshots.com/user/gdfatha/3

The Detroit and Vintage were shot with the new C-750 all the others with my old Olympus C2100.

this is deal . and its still the Worlds Fastest Digital
camera even though its a 1.5 Megapixel ,the superior
compression has made it hard for me to tell the Tiff's from the Jpegs that this saves on both CF or SM
you can put 256 cards in both slots for a total of
like 500+ pictures in FULL res
I swear By this camera for sports and general
photo's to 5x7, after that I have a Conventional
Nikon 35mm for those big pics

if someone buys thats I'll pay 100.00 for the Teleconverter if you dont need it!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=43457

comes with teleconverter Olympus brand 1.7x
so you would have almost a 18x Optical Zoom

Digital zoom is just a cropping of your original pic
so it a bad idea to use it

DJ: I think thats a little more camera than I need even though the price looks great.

I will use it for boating and boat shows only (and the occasional porn flick). Something smaller and easy to carry is important. I wish there weren't so damn many. I think I have narrowed it to a Canon, Olympus, or Sony. Now which one is the question.

We bought the bad boy Sony six months ago at work, and are very pleased. DSC-S85. I am sure there are new ones out now, but you can play with this one to see if you like it.

Size is a issue its not compact so it will not fit in your honey's purse but its still rated as the worlds Fastest Action Digital even though they discontinued it.

the Olympus compact 10x optical camera's are still a good choice though

This one is a good deal. Weather proof, extra memory, case and about $200 cheaper than what they sell for in the stores.

I have the similar camera to Bam Bam it is slow but takes great pictures, there is a option built into the camera so you can take alot of pics at once. My mom has one of the those credit card size monolta easty to handle but our 4yrold olympus still takes better pics. Just make sure you get like said above at least 3.3mp.

Canon Powershot - nice camera and tough case, so it will stand up to an "active" lifestyle.
