Shane,
It would be great to see you race the 24 ft Skater with OPA...and with the right water conditions, I bet you would be pretty competitive too in either P2 or P3.I understand your frustration with the state of offshore powerboat racing; but the individuals that manage the sport are going to do what they are going to do.Hopefully, someday they will get it right.;)

Does anybody have the final results in all classes? It seems to be kinda hush , hush. Were the minimum number of boats met and did everybody get paid? Since there was no TV and no Sanction - it seems like alot of hardware was torn up for nothing. I'm glad all racers survived with minimum injuries. BH

Hey Brian,

Results are posted on Keywestworlds.com so I have heard. As far as television yes Martin Sanborn was there this weekend filming. As far the money I cannot comment.

Take care and I'll talk to you soon.

"A field of 75 to 80 world-class powerboats, including a minimum of 23 Super Series boats, is expected to compete for high-speed titles in the Key West Offshore Worlds scheduled for Monday through Sunday, Nov. 17th -23rd."

 Yup, stunk completely for the spectators. Upper 70's during the days, a course you could watch from shore either @ Mallory Square or the shoreline @ Fort Walton, (left boat at home this year with a poofed lower) lovely ladies in short shorts or less  beautiful boats at all the marinas, scooters to "tour" on, and oh yeah, some rather exciting races to boot made for a crappy weekend..

It was interesting the number of team shirts I saw that weren't racing. Maybe they just came down to enjoy the weekend or maybe to scout the event??

There's something about Key West :)

Tanned, well fed, and the liver has been suitably punished.... :D :D :D

Hey I thought it was pretty good.
The second race sunday with the Super cat and SCL was pretty good. Lots of action.
Despite the "situation" I think the rac was pretty good.

My main suggestion.... DOCKAGE. We went by boat, but couldn't find anywhere to tie up and come to the pits!
All they needed was a few more floating docks in the Mole....
