I heard it's suppose to get down in the 40's tonight.....burrrrrr.... (Good snuggling weather though.) I'm not ready for lake season to end already!!!! :( What does everyone do to make the winter months past by fast??

CigDaze 09-18-2003 08:48 AM

I think you answered your own question ;) ;)

You shouldn't have any trouble finding a snuggling partner around here... ;) ;)

martiniboat 09-18-2003 09:35 AM

Yep, I hate to say it but some of the leaves are turning here.

To keep myself occupied during the winter I'll snowmobile and watch previously taped boating events. Work on the boat of course, there's always something to do.

Hey H2O Cowgirl,

COLD? We were out on a friends Formula 353 last night, 47 degrees in shorts and sweatshirs! This is the nicest time of year!

In my best Top Gun impersonation: "If your snuggling partner isn't available, let me know, I snuggle with you.";) :p

Snowmobiling is the shiznit! My buddies Formula 312 is named "Till Snow Flies!" Been working on the sled already. I am thinking about re-rigging alot of the Skater and upgrading under the rear hatch.

Boating in 47 degrees in shorts and sweatshirts...I think your crazy, but since you were boating it might be worth being cold then.

I've never been snowmobiling. I can already see one problem...I don't like to be cold. Guess you just bundle up real good? I'd look like a walking snowman!!!

LOL!!

Tantrum 09-18-2003 11:35 AM

Snowmobile!
Just called the dealer to see if he had an idea when the new sled was going to be in. Of coarse he had no idea, I smiled to myself and thought I really need to get a hobby were somebody has a clue

If youve never tried snowmobiling your missing out. It is a kick azz sport. Once you have the right gear you will never be cold.

Shane 09-18-2003 11:47 AM

Tantrum is EXACTLY right! The right clothing is essential. Once you have that covered you will be on your way to the most enjoyable winter activity there is!

THRILLSEEKER 09-18-2003 11:54 AM

COLD!!!!, you need to be kicked for even bringing this up on a boating forum. there is still a good month and a half left of boating season and I live in bum fu*ked Ohio. As for winter activities, snowmobiling, drinking, screwwing, skiing, and trips to the keyes are all on my winter agenda. I hate the cold weather too, but you havent lived until you have raced across an open field @ 130mph on a snowmobile.

I have to admit that the snowmobiling is starting to sound like a lot of fun. As long as I'm not cold...I'm very happy!!!!

TEAMBAJA 09-18-2003 12:09 PM

People give up too early! I actually seen boats being winterized last weekend!

Put on some jeans and a long sleeve shirt for cryin out loud! :eureka:

H20 Cowgirl 09-18-2003 12:16 PM

I haven't given up on boating yet. The cold brings out the reality that winter is on it's way. I don't like winter. We usually boat through October and maybe longer if the weather holds up. At night everyone on my dock huddles around the fire pit to stay warm. It's a lot of fun.

Neverfastenuf 09-18-2003 12:56 PM

20" of snow in the mountains above us. It went from Summer to Winter real quick here.

gdfatha 09-18-2003 01:01 PM

YAWN.....It's 88 degrees here now. But will get alll the way down to 72 tonight...

Iggy 09-18-2003 01:39 PM

gdfatha,
I thought they said it's supposed to go down to 66 tonight?
When I left for work at 5:30 this morning it had to about 70 with a light breeze. Perfect temp.

WARPARTY36 09-18-2003 01:41 PM

It is still warm down here. Take a short drive, and bring friends(preferably more female than male). You are always welcome on the Apache or the 530.

Or there is always OU football!:D

BajaRunner 09-18-2003 01:45 PM

Highs this weekend, 85, lows 65.

Ive been out in the middle of december and it was 70. I could never move any farther north.

BajaRunner 09-18-2003 01:46 PM

btw what the hell is a snowmobile. ;)

H20 Cowgirl 09-18-2003 05:16 PM

I think I need to move south!!!

TEAMBAJA 09-18-2003 06:08 PM

I will have Thrillseeker on the bow of the boat breaking ice so we can get to the islands to drink!:D

hint hint :)

509 SC 09-18-2003 11:05 PM

Just got off the lake at 10 PM and it was still 64 degrees. I don't think that's to shabby for mid September. The stabbin cabin was quite hot! To each his own I guess!! Steve

FloridianSon 09-18-2003 11:25 PM

12 pm thursday night 70*here in Gainesville Fl. :( Good thing that I 75 ramp to the keys is just around the block:cool:James

RollWithIt 09-19-2003 04:00 AM

You Floridians just plain su*k with all your warm temperatures, blue waters and miles of sand to shore up to and party. What you fail to realize is that the smart northern boater gets to take advantage of the cool weather. Get the girls out on the boat and when they start to get cool, just snuggle. Of course, snuggling usually leads to other things.

hugetime1 09-19-2003 06:34 AM

hey h20 cowgirl come on over to new york, i'll show you what i do when it gets cold. snowmobile, drink, and screw. its that simple. Maybe you would enjoy all three with me, i don't have any doubts.
