Sounds like the format of Venice to Monte Carlo back in the 90's. They had many sponsors all the way 9 starts over 10 days. A city a day plus one rest day. The old Miami/New York race we went straight through. Oh my back. Craig Barrie

well, i hope this is going to happen. face it guys, 10 million is never going to happen but if there is enough prize money for the first three to cover their expenses, it's a good start. with POWERBOAT talking about relaunching the San Francisco-L.A. run, i am dreaming about a real endurance racing circuit, real offshore in other words. let's bring in craig barrie, fabio buzzi... and start all over again

I personally talked w/ the promoter over the phone, and I asked about entry fee, his answer was $ 50,000.00 End of conversation! I broke the Miami to New York outboard record back on Aug 18,1978 in a 24' Pantera w/ twin 2.4 Mercury OB. We did it for the love of the sport and because a lot of people said it could not be done in a 24' boat! Now, for $10,000000 I would try to swim to NY! Later, Pepe @ Pantera

At $50,000.00 per entry fee, it would take 200 boats to come up with 10 million-a little bit unlikely! Sounds like the promotor is looking to make a quick $.
The web site is also not up as scheduled-do you think he has a credability problem?
