We usually do at least one of these long fall runs while the leaves are turning- at least as far as Lacrosse, WI. from Savanna, IL.
Troutly is right- humidity, bugs, and the people are all but gone, and the scenery is always worth some memories.

I was thinking about putting the rigg away this weekend but after this post maybe I'll wait a couple weeks!

Dyno,

Don't put it away yet! There is still "at least" one more good weekend before winter. I would love to get together with you and some other locals for a run this fall. I went out of Holland yesterday and had a blast. It was a beautiful day once it warmed up. The lake had 2 -3 footers on it but they were very evenly spaced and consistent. I was flying across the tops of them in my little 26 footer and having a blast. And, as they said above, very few boat wakes to contend with. Next good looking weekend I'll give you a call. Maybe we can talk a few more into going, too.

Se ya, Doug

Hey we would have taken you along but you decide to go poking sheeps in New Zeland for six month. I guess you have to get it where you can find it!!!
