Lake Erie This Weekend
 

The Alum Thread started to drift into a Lake Erie thread so at the request of the boys here you go.

The end of the Alum thread has some of us making plans to hit the Bay this weekend. I will be there on Sunday for Mad Dog at the round house.
This should have a nice LEOPA turn out as well as some OSO folks that don't get a chance to run in the BIG water:eek: :p :D

My dock is on the last pier South before the basin. The guys at the fuel docks are seasonal and usually foreign students, they have a hard time just trying to say "boat" can't imagine them knowing how to find me:crazy:

I had to check the forecasts since everyone was talking about going to the bay to see mad dog. It looks like the weather may not be that great especially if it 50 on Sunday and your getting spray over the boat from those 4-6 footers, it might be a little chilly unless your taking the jet, but that's no fun.

Scott, we're gonna wave off this weekend and shoot for next week, the freak'n forcast sucks :mad: The Dog is playing again next week at the Round House :D :D

just so you know, quit calling with all the freekin invites in advance. I know you'll call someday.
I wont have my boat there. the top deck is off, motors are missing, drives need mounted and all that but its either hot dogs for a week or gas to get there.

I'm in the process of moving to the lake...so there hasn't been anything going on but packing, unpacking and wondering how everyone is doing...

I'll be going North if for no other reason then to sit on SLIGHTLY TRASHED and watch it storm all weekend..Hopefully I'll run into some of you despite the weather and find time to relax a little even if it is only close to the water... Hehe

Nobody but nobody "runs" in 7 - 9 footers, regardless of the Apache / magazine bull**** :rolleyes: How's that go, you can see and read the waves but not that occasional BIG hole behind them ;) We all suck it up and chug thru that crap and my boat SUCKS at chugging :D

Its beautifull right now. SW at 10. Flat as a pancake.

As usual, the weather forcast couldnt have been more wrong. Lakes flat, cool but little wind, sunny skies, should have gone today.

Its 8 miles give or take from the Casino to G "5" at the entrance to PIB it normally takes a solid five minutes :D

Hey I got through the weekend and got some sun. Wrenched on the boat and I don't think I lost it once. Boat is back in Attica already.

Ain't that the truth :rolleyes: Remember, pick your passengers carefully, everybody wants to do it until they see what its all about. Its definitely NOT for most people, even the ones with some sportboat experience;) God I hate those screams, ya know thats the only downside to the mufflers :D :D
