fantastic but did they have to rebuild the engines after that run? I've seen OL GTX boats run really fast in poker runs at the start only to blow something minutes later. what is the point? in the words of legendary enzo ferrari, "to finish first, first you have to finish". secondly, what about props on that boat? how long did it take to get that boat on plane? what about drives? what's the X-dimension on those or in other words, how does it hadle sharp turns and that kind of stuff. A pleasure boat is a boat that offers the best compromise between speed, acceleration, handling and reliability. If it only maximizes one of those parameters, it is a purpose-built race boat. So, a bit of a time-waste in my opinion. However, OL are great boats and Paul Fiore is a great designer. They keep innovating and hats off to them. It is just that this sort of record is a bit of nonsense and in my opinion adds very little to the already huge appeal of Outerlimits products.

You have to hand it to ANYONE with the cojones to go approx. 150 mph in a vee bottom........ That is an impressive accomplishment..... I hope that all appropriate safety precautions were taken.

Congratulations to everyone involved! Obviously, a great deal of money and work went into this project to obtain such impressive speeds. Not only is this boat fast, it is one of the best looking v-bottoms out there!
