Question diesel-powered boats

I am looking at diesel powered fast cruisers. Anybody has any opinions on them? On the new Hustler, the Fountain 48, the Scarab with twin Cummins motors and trimax drives i recently saw on OSO? And does anybody have any information about that 45' Sonic with twin Seateks and SDS drives that was presented in Miami two years ago? That boat was supposed to break 100 but I have not heard anything about it since. But most importantly, any views on the Hustler and Fountain?

Along with the brands you've mentioned, you might want to check out the Nor-tech 50...They have built some really cool diesel applications.
Triples, quads, surface drives...

Paul Fiore of Outerlimits has a 37' with diesels and Arnsen drives. He said he cruises at 70 mph and tops out at 80 mph at 3500 rpm!!!

Callan Marine builds a 62' mono hull, 2x Cat C30, trimable shaft drive with dual rudders. 85 top end and mid 70's cruise. Epoxy post cured lamination.

Soniz is still @ Sonic last I saw..

Spectre has done a bangup job on some diesel cats. Also, there was a 38 Donzi with Yanmars, ran 60 all day long @ 21 GPH total burn.. Mastry in ST Pete are the Yanmar masters...

There's a 41' Cigarette Attack for sale here in NJ. I've never seen it in person, only online. Been for sale for a long time now. It has new Cat 3208's and 3A's.

The ad says $100K, but it was on e-bay once with no reserve, and still got no bids. I think the starting bid might have been in the 60's.
