Dennis Cavanaugh...Deceased...

Dennis Cavanaugh, who was very well respected & known throughout the Hi-Performance boating community for years, has passed away. He has worked with Mercury Marine for 31 years. He died as a result of severe head injuries he suffered after falling down a flight of stairs at his home on Thursday. He will be greatly missed for his warm, caring personality.:(

It appears to be a fact.......

It's a tribute to his memory that people with diverse opinions about just about everything else here on OSO are united in sadness at his passing, and in respect for his generous life.

God Speed, Dennis Cavanaugh, and thanks for all you did and for all you meant to so many.

This truly comes as a shock to me. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family that he leaves behind and to his closest friends that will miss him the most.

I, like many others, had the opportunity to talk props with him at the Worlds in St. Pete a few years back. Took the better part of an afternoon to chase him down and locate him but it was time well spent as he is and was very knowledgeable in his field.

He will truly be missed as a person and for the knowledge that he possessed.

Mark
