Hot Boat is in Key Largo
 

There has been a steady roar of thunder out in the bay for the last couple of days. I just got back from visiting the Marriott Hotel and there are hot boats everywhere! :D :D :D They just ran a 3600 Nortech that sounded soooooo sweet! I hear that they will be hear for the rest of the week!!! I think I'm coming down with some sort of bug! Performance boating bug!!!:eureka:

I'll try and get a few pictures later today! and tomorrow......and the day after:crazy:

I can't take anymore! I can hear the boats running in the bay from here at work. Thats it!! I'm out of here! I'm going to grab my camera and sneak out the back door. My boss will have to understand.....I hope! I would have put in for my vacation time had I known they would be here testing! :D :p ;)

It's not very often that I get a chance to see such beautiful boats and hear them run too! The Hot Boat gang was really nice giving away t-shirts, hats, stickers and stuff. The Hot Boat models really complement the boats nicely! :p :p :p

The Formula looked very clean, 4 bolster seats w/intercoms, twin 575H.P.'s. It looked like they were using it to shoot from but I think only the chopper could keep up with the Nortech. Even with the temp and humidity at around 90 they hit 147MPH today! 130mph for a pleasure cruise with 5 pob!

The Nortech is one sweet machine! :cool:

I love the paint on that particular Nor-Tech, especially the white lightning on the sides, and the red to tangerine down on the bottom.:D

The paint was done by The art of design.

this is Pofiles new 26 foot V-bottom, it's on their web site. I talked with a gentleman who said he trailered this boat down from Iowa! The other lime/green tunnel boat was recently re-powered with a 525 and sold to a customer in the Keys. The new owner brought it over for some photos but they were not testing it today.

The picture of Profiles V-bottom does not do it justice! It was a very clean looking boat and had lots of room for a 26 footer.

I was down in Key largo yesterday with the Spectre crew. What a great Poker Run. I had to be back at work so I couldnt stay for the weeks festivities.Thanks for the pics.

The Nor Tech's speed and beauty was impressive. Watching the Fountain and Formula battle it out all day was a treat. Hanging out with talkin boats with the insiders is always fun. Overall a neat experience.

Cat, that is so the steering wheel can be moved to that side for a driver-throttleman setup.

Crap, I was there last week. My timing has always sucked! I did see a few big cats heading south when we were heading home.

What makes the Nor-Tech sweeter is that I just sold it to the new owner!

Max.. sorry we didn't get you on the boat. Things got a little screwy at the end. We had to chase down the other boats that didn't know we headed in and give them an escort back through the mangroves.

Salesmanship. I didn't get over there until later in the day, around 3:30. I'm not sure if we met or not, will you be back later this week? I have a dive shop here in Key Largo (Aqua-Nuts and Kelly's on the Bay) The sound and site of the boats pulled me out of work and over to the marriott.

I got to watch you make the last run for the day with all the seats occupied. The boat looks like it runs so nice and flat. When you first jumped on the throttles you were throwing a heck of a roost than you could really see those number six's hook up. The tail dropped and that thing flew like a dart! It looked like you had used up the room in the bay pretty quickly. :D Goodluck with the powerboat trials. I'm sure they are going to enjoy it! :drool:
