Sean, just tell me when and where!
Let me share my little Apache/ Don Aranow story. And I'll try not to get all pissed off again.
TRG was at the pit on Sunday, watching them crane the boats. The were putting the Switch boat in and having had some contact with these guys, I was taking pics. So this IDIOT and his wife and two kids walks up and stands next to me. In between pics, he asks me if I'm with that team. I said no, just taking pics, that they were friends of ours. And that stupid SOB goes "Oh you're a groupie." I would imagine that you could have seen the steam coming out of my ears. What idiot asks a REDHEAD an insane question like that? I gave him the look of death and said "Not hardly".
Now here is the part that I hope I don't offend anyone with what I said, but I was pissed. Then the idiot says "So who was Don Aranow?" I looked that dumb a$$ straight in the eye and said "Dead, would you like to know how?" Well. You want to talk about back pedaling, boy was he trying to recover. "Good answer he says. No kidding.
The he goes on about how he saw Snack Attack run last year and how his money was on them and then he really showed his knowledge. He hoped that a V bottom won it all because that cat stuff wasn't really racing, real racing was FL to Bimini and back or something. I had to leave. I had no desire to kill him and go to jail. The cops from Saturday night were enough.
