I have a friend of mine that has a house in tampa and loves it and he also has a house here in maryland. But his business keeps him from moving down there fulltime.

I have to agree with everybody - it's a great place to live. Coming from Texas, where it was 100+ degrees for 30-60 days straight in the summer, this Florida heat is NOTHING.

Nothing like pulling up at jet ski at Bahama Breeze on the causeway, to have a BahamaRita in November or December

I've lived in Florida virtually my entire life. I can't imagine living anywhere North of here As the others have said you adjust quickly to heat and humidity. After that it's 9-10 months of boating a year. It would be 12 months if I lived at the other end of the state!

After 6 years on Puerto Rico we have decided to move back north to Florida. We thought hard on SoCAL but all things considered, meaning $$$, we've decided to check out Florida, for a few years anyway.

No, the stories are true. Florida sucks, its hot, the mosquitos will carry you and your dog away, all the waters are 5 mph thanks to the manatee, gas is outrageous, and the folks are unfriendly. Stay out.. errrr, I mean home..
