Exclamation How Much Does Dry Storage Cost?

For all those who have their boats dry stored:

1. What do pay per foot (or monthly)?
2. What amentities does the marina offer (if any)?

FYI - I'm trying to compare dry storage facilities from around the US and what they charge and the type of amentities they offer.

I dry store mine year round and pay $9.95/ft. The marina is like a "yacht club" in that it has member parties, in water short term docks, a large pool, member discounts on dining, gas, etc.

I pay 222.00 a month for a 25 footer. I guess that's $8.88 a foot.

The marina has a 400 boat capacity dry storage building, 3 lift trucks always operating, never a wait. There are many work racks where you can perform any work you wish and can borrow tools if need be. We have customer appreciation parties throughout the year, usually every 3 months. There are 550 floating concrete wet slips available at no extra cost any time with shore power and water. There is a full service Merc. auth. service facility, ships store for supplies and parts and a really nice resteraunt and bar. We also have shower, bathroom, pool, hot tub, laundry, etc, etc.

Is that per month?

I've got mine stored at a friend's business in a 40'X70' building that is no longer used (old semi-truck wash bldg.). It's like a big Morton building with 30-40' ceilings. No heat, but no elements either. They won't take any money from me for storing it there, but I'll make it up to them somehow!!

Years ago i used to keep my Sutphen in a boatel and I think it was $150 per month during the summer. I drank more during those years than I should have and did no maintenance on the boat it was way too easy to just get off the boat and go, they would put it away the next morning.

in southern fl is will ru some big money.. if you are right off the inter-coastal and close to the inlet.. you are gong to be around 15 usd per foot.. off in the back waters you can get into the 10 per foot but then it's a 30min ride to open the motors up..

but if money does mean much to you.. Marine One it's 20 per foot.. but the flush, wash, fill the boat up.. with unlimited dips and put ice into your cooler.. and it's right off the main canal and they go as far to wash your car when you are out boaing.. now if you use your boat.. that's not a bad deal... hell i can go out and burn 300-400 gallons in an afternoon..

Winter storage only, brand new pole barns w/concrete slabs. $10.00 per foot for the for the winter, October to April. They don't include platforms or trailer tongues but I hear rumors that they plan on it in the future.

Craig223 - that $9.95 is per foot and per month. My 34' costs me $338.30/month and that is the discount rate that they offered if you paid 12 months in advance (which they waived when I joined 2 years ago and allowed me to pay monthly as an incentive to join).

HorsePlay - for what size boat?????
