We ran from Okeechobee (town of) accross Lake Okeechobee then accross the Calooshatchee River to Ft Myers. Not too many "NO Wake" zones along the way. Some strange things to see along the way.....
Usually we run in the Gulf, Sarasota to Clearwater.

Thats a run I am going to make one of these days, definitely an interesting area!!!!!!! Go through there by land every so often, there are a few towns on the way that seem to take you back in time.

Cuda,

It is roughly 110 miles. There are two routes involving lake Okee in the equation.

The shortest distance between the first lock in Stuart and the last lock in Ft Myers is 106 miles. The longest is 117 miles. The distance from intracoastal waterway in Stuart to the intracoastal waterway in Ft Myers is 154/166 mile respectively.

I hope this helps out.

John

I think they should ban boating in Florida in the winter months. Then maybe you southern guys will quit picking on us guys up north about winterizing our boats!
