A buddy of mine just bought a enclosed car trailer and it had a ALUMINUM one in it . Its would be nice saving some weight in the car trailer especially when it goes in front of the trailer. Might have to go to Sam's and ck this one out. Thats cheaper than a Craftsman box.The Snap On ones are pretty heavy.

Doesn't look to deep?

open87 12-02-2003 09:36 PM

rob, it's 18 inches deep. it's nice . i was looking at
craftsman pro's and they are 21.5 deep. would have 23 drawers instead of 16, weigh 771 lbs dry and cost 3200.00. not to mention they are powdercoated and will chip and rust. of course stainless means it will just stain...less. go check it out you will not be dissapointed.

That should be deep enough . I have been carrying my Snap On top box in the car trailer when we go racing carrying it back and forth .I could bolt this one in permanently . It should blend in with all the aluminum cabinet's and look good.

Sam's club buys a lot of items as a one time buy in. If the store has a lot keep an eye on it but don't buy it right now. After so many days in stock the club will do a mark down. You can tell mark downs at Sam's by the price ending in a penny $9.81. At Costco they use a * in the corner of the price card. I bought some Columbia winter coats last year for $15.81. They had been originally listed over $50.00. Every week they will do another mark down till the product is sold. Don't feel bad for Sam's. They deduct the markdown from the suppliers original invoice. It pays to be the biggest. Sam's never loses.

Dan

BTW, I have been watching that chest for a mark down. You can never have enough toys. :D

open87 12-03-2003 06:24 AM

my luck if i waited to buy that box in another week they would be sold out. that just took out some scatch for the new tv. oh well , i,ll see more of that box than tv anyway:D

i don't buy junk. it is a nice box. look at the bottom cabinet with the 3 drawers on the bottom , gives you options and not just one big drawer. think about it with impacts and heavy tools all in one where as you have three. go check it out. it fit right in with my kitchen. looked real nice almost as if it belongs there. eric:D :D

open87 12-03-2003 03:49 PM

I bought that box from Costco back in August.

Very nice, I have had many compliments on it since then too.
You can't go wrong with this one, compared to what even Craftsman wants these days for a box.
