All depends on your part of the country $85 would be toward the low end of the scale for custom built here in central missouri. Low $80's we see for some. Most customs are closer to $100 here and the real upscale stuff gets as high as $200.

well generally around here some nice houses can be built from 70-85 a sq foot. I'm going to shop the plans around a little just to see. I don't think $85 is a real bad deal, the guy does build some nice homes. I'm just going to do a lot of homework because there are a lot of builders out there that can careless about what they build.

Building this for $54.25 sf....hopefully! No more than $56.00 sf. That living area, including approx. 300 SF living area above shop , and cost SF. does not include house garage and accual shop square footage. If you include shop and garage in your footage, I guess I'm at $34. 50 sf

But also doing my own contracting, layout, concrete, framing, paint, siding, trim and ceramic.....man, I need a beer!
