Hey TeamBaja,
Isn't Bucyrus where they have the worlds largest walking dragline excavator ? I saw something on the Discovery channel a year or so ago on it. I think it was called "the Big Muskie" Here it is , all 13,500 tons of her. |

10:30 am and pouring rain here at the Jersey Shore. I think I'd take the snow at this point.
And what do I get to do in this lovely weather today? Help my parents move into their new waterfront house. :( |
snowing like hell here in Cranbury, NJ...not sticking though...just making a mess....
|
Ok, no posts of temperatures of 70 degrees or above.
It just makes me depressed that I don't live somewhere that is warm year 'round. |
|
They say snow but like any other time they are LIEING!!! I am ready with the sleds so lets put up or shut up weatherdick. If I don't get snow and something to do on the weekends I am going to try BINGO. A naked hottie would work but I need to find one and it is too cold to find one at the beach:D

As much as I want to see it snow, it is kind of bumming me out since my sled is not done yet from getting some minor "mods" done to it. Then I still have to stud it.
Once its ready LET IT SNOW !!!:D Nothing happening here in Troy , a burb of Detroit murder city ! |
80 degrees,sunny & clear---enjoy
|
5-6 inches by Dulles airport in Northern VA this morning.:(
|
Anywhere from 6-14" predicted for Greenwich CT.
I'm glad my boat is in FL & I was just there. Oh well, snow is nice for a while. |
Clay,
It's a thing we call SNOW. It's how us Northerners know Christmas is coming. Very different from you guys in Texas. Your only indication is when you begin to notice a change in the color of wind-blown litter - Walmart switching to festive red and green bags. :p |
closing my office.....Adios all!!
:D |
finally some people who dont normally get snow are getting it....have fun
|
HEY VA,,, have FUNN !!!! I just heard they are predicting 16"..... :p :p :D :D

I can't believe it's winter again. This is what I have to deal with down on the Jersey shore
New York may never truly temporarily change over to rain, thus their snow, starting early this afternoon, may pile up to rather high totals. Up to a foot of snow in New York City would not be out of the question after everything is said and done. Gusty northerly winds will also be a major problem for residents of the North East and New England. Sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph are likely with gust to 55 mph along the coasts. Gale warnings are posted from Merrimack River, MA to Fenwick Island, DE through tonight. Coastal flood watches are posted along the New Jersey and Delaware shorelines for Saturday. Waves along the coasts from Virginia to New Jersey will rise to 10-15 feet tonight and increase to 15-20 feet on Saturday into Sunday |
Well that sucked my usual 1/2 hour comute was 1.5 hours!
|
BLIZZARD WARNING!
Here in Stamford, CT we have 5" on the ground and still snowing hard at 8:53PM....
It took me 3 hours to make a normal 30 minute commute.... How does 15" to 20" sound? not including drifts..which could be close to 4'..... I LOVE WINTER!!! I only wish I could go boating in it! |

Not a flake in Toms River. We must be just south of the rain/snow line.
|
i just brushed off 4 inches off the cafe racer. it breaks my heart that she has to be out this winter. im in the middle of building the ultimate mans garage. she has to be outside for a while, no prob ill throw a extra blanket over her and whisper sweet nothings into her exhaust. shell forgive me come spring......
|
First time driving home that I was really glad I drive a 4x4 Chevy and not an Aston Martin, Porsche, or Jaguar (all of which I saw slide into cars/telephone poles, etc.):p
