I got it too and have no problem with it, just don't be giving out or selling my email address.

OSO sends out like one email per year and your getting upset? The only reason your complaining is because you know where it came from. I wouldn't call that spam.

Geez, this is a tough crowd.

I got it but dont mind because its something that I need and never gave much thought to....So its a good thing for me they sent it out

I dont mind emails from OSO being that I use the site so much and I'm sure I will only be getting useful emails from them.

FYI Folks .... you can easily turn off (if you want) the option of receiving email from the administration by going into ---> 'member control panel' ---> 'edit options' ---> 'allow Bulletin Board Administrators and Moderators To Send You Email Notices' ---> change it to 'NO'

It's not really SPAM if you ask for it ...
