My thoughts are with his family also. Words are always hard to come by in these difficult times.

I would like to tell you quick story about Curt and what a generous person he was. In 1992 I was in the market for my first go-fast. Curt and I had a mutual friend who told Curt that I was wanting to go for a ride in his boat.

Curt said he would be glad to take us out and brought the boat over and picked up my wife Mandy and I. I was so excited because this was my first time on a twin engine high performance powerboat. To my surprise, Curt stopped the boat after a short ride and asked if I wanted to to give it a try. After my first time behind the wheel of his boat I had a new passion and favorite pastime.

God bless you Curt!

I am very saddened by Curts passing. I had the pleasure of meeting Curt at the Fountain races in 2000, and then visiting him and the entire Lake Murray crew for past few years. He was always out going, friendly, and an absolute joy to be around. He will be greatly missed.

Curt, was a very special person. He was an extremely generous / charismatic person who was always the life of the party and always hightened the enjoyment of any function that he attended. Curt, never had a bad word word to say about anyone, and was liked by all.

A personal example of Curt's, kindness is as follows. In recent years I was upgrading my boat with a pair of Tyler Crockett blower engines. Tyler, was flying into South Carolina to rig and test this project. A work situation came into play and I was unable to meet with Tyler, and show him the town. I contacted Curt, and asked if he would be available to entertain Tyler. Curt, made himself available (he excelled in the entertaining department) and he and Tyler, became good friends. Since then Tyler, has been to South Carolina (staying at Curt's house) numerous times and Curt, traveled up to Michigan (Tyler's) late summer 2003.

This was the kind of person Curt, was. Lake Murray will never be the same. You will be missed but never forgotten!
