That is the full MSRP price. Marsha had a 42' Lightning w/525's for $259k. On the 35' Executioner w/496 HO's they were selling for about $135k last I knew.

Who pays anything close to msrp for anything?

On my 38' it would have been about $40k more to go with 575's but I planned on doing Prochargers right from the start...

I talked to Mike Fiore for a long time the other day and he's leading me in the right direction

Do you have a half cabin? I have a budget of about $400k so I think you will be out of my price range

I almost bought Alberts old 42' but I need a place to throw my junk

Thats the MSRP on the Fountain and the actual selling price is a lot less...I paid $227k OTD on a trailer for a 2003 38' Lightning w/500efis. On OL's I am finding that typically they take about 20% off the spec sheet before you start beating them down.

The epoxy hull 37' Stiletto has a msrp of about $510k and can be bought for $380k or so....
I didnt think you had a boat, since you never talk about it and always talk of getting an OL

Wow, I just got home from work, saw my new powerboat
mag, read about the Fountain and said to myself, I
think I'll start a thread on this boat. So I turn on the
computer, log on OSO, and low and behold, there's
2 pages on the subject! Am I the only guy here that
works until 6 pm! Anyway, What struck me is not the
cost of the boat itself, but the engine upgrade.
75K for 575's. So what does that make them worth?
considering the stock power is probabley 496's, and
they are probably worth 20-25k new, that makes the
575's come in at 100k! Holy CHIT! Are these guys nuts?
No wonder they can't sell any boats.Who the hell can
afford them? No knock on Fountain (I own one) but Jeez
350k for a sit down & rather small 35 footer. They have
to be crazy. Just my .02

I love this stuff !!!!!!!!!!! Who said ? Any given item is worth what someone is willing to pay for it .
Back to the first rule of boating 'you gotta nuts to start with '
