Scope Poker Run
I have a couple of my customers that want to do a SCOPE run this coming spring. When is the run and where do you start from? I will need to travel lift them in and a place to store the trailers and my truck while they do the run. Any marina suggestions would be great,do I need to reserve slips or is it all handled thru poker run registration. Phone #'s would be great if possilbe, thank you Steve.

Steve-
The 2004 SCOPE event calender is not not cast in stone yet. They normally don't release any dates until it is all settled. We do much more than just a poker run out here! BUT, the poker run is a HUGE event and tons of fun.
All the docks are handled with the registration so if you sign up, you don't need to reserve anything. We also block off rooms at the sponsor hotel, and you do have to reserve that (once it's squared away).
There are two courses, and it all starts from Long Beach. Once stays along the coast while the other is about 100 miles long and goes 32 miles of open ocean to Catalina Island. A typical course goes from Long Beach, Catalina, Newport, Las Alimitos, San Pedro then to Long Beach for the CASH!!!! Over $30,000 paid in CASH prizes last year!!! This, plus over $20K to charity (Junior Diabetes Research Foundation).
Keep an eye on the www.SCOPEinfo.com site. It's a great event for the whole family, and for the charity.
