This guy had a great plan for a 400-500 slip marina, resturant, bar. and maybe some condos. He started mining sand to make the harbor off of Burn's Ditch (actually the mouth of Salt Creek, that was dredged by a guy named Burn's back in the 40s)
Anyway he was going ahead with his plans, and neglected one minor detail. PERMITS. By the time he applied for them he had everyone so pissed off at him the project never went anywhere. I think he started work in the early 80s and finally gave up about 15 years ago. Nothing has been done to the place since then. It all needs to be tore down.
