Couple of steps, there is a study at home series of DVD's, then a take at home test. Must work for a dealer who will then enroll him in school. If I remember right there is a 1 week at school basic course, then a year later the certification course.

stecz20,
Check out MMI, Marine Mechanics Institute. I believe it`s in Orlando. I have a friend who graduated from there and he is extremely happy with the education. This kid is now a first class marine mech and I was really impressed at his electrical know how. With a certification from MMI, most marinas would be happy to hire him and the Merc schools would follow. Kurt |
